Day 5: Mt Laguna to Laguna Campground (42 – 47.5)

We waited for our first resupply box at mount Laguna and since the post office didn’t open till noon, we took half the day off. Stretching, eating and watching the Acorn Woodpecker. 🙂

Food just tastes 10 times better after you’ve eaten on trail for a few days
My box didn’t arrive – it went from San Diego to Florida and then to Mt Laguna, which is N hour from San Diego 🤣
I went to pick up my first resupply box – that I spent so much time preparing and packing
while everyone empties their resupply boxes, I had no food but luckily most people pack way to much and don’t want to carry it so I got lucky – someone gifted me half their resupply box
This! a really nice man at the general store offered to forward my box to Warner springs for me – so I’ll get it in a few days at least
That’s almost 3 days of hiker food – and the good stuff, too! How lucky I am!
When we started hiking I saw these huge pine cones
