Day 7: Miles 63.6 to 77. Scissors Crossing (exit to Julian)
I am so excited to get to a town because I don’t feel good – I have a cold 🙁

We have two nights in Julian reserved, taking first zero tomorrow – hiking zero miles that is.
I am impressed that so far I haven’t seen any garbage on trail – except for those Easter eggs which is annoying but I bet that wasn’t a pct hiker – it was close to a parking lot. And the occasional stupid person leaving TP with their poop. But overall the trail is very clean – cleaner than Germany. The leave no trace-concept advertised everywhere seems to work here.
Somehow my sleep setup isn’t working / I can’t fall asleep and I sweat in my sleeping bag, is the pad too firm? Let out more air?
Sleeping bag too warm? It’s 20F which seems ideal for the PCT.
I can feel the last 7 days of bad sleep affecting my overall well being and this cold isn’t going away. I feel worn out. It’s been a week – it should be over soon. Doing nothing tomorrow will be good.
