Our Canada adventure begins

Meet Bilbo, our home for the next two weeks. We drove from Seattle to Whistler, Canada and stayed in a wonderful natural campground the the first night:

The campground is right at the river and so after exploring it a bit, and climbing the hanging bridge, we went to bed early – around 20.00 and fell right asleep due to the river sounds.

We woke up early today and after getting bear spray at the hardware store in infamous Whistler, we did our first hike along Cheakamus lake.

And the water is as turquoise as one the pictures! Beautiful!

We hiked roughly 16km and will now find our campground for the night and cook up some food.

This was a great first day in Canada!
