4 days offline on Icefield Parkway | Part 1

8th – 9th of August

The one road to get from Lake Louise to Jasper is one of the prettiest roads I’ve ever driven: Icefield Parkway.

Silverhorn Campground

We spent the first two days at Silverhorn Campground enjoying magnificent mirror reflections in the little lakes, delicious grilled cheese sandwiches and small hikes. At around 2000m, it got very cold the first time. Calvin had a fever the next morning.

Biggest wild animal spotting so far
We haven’t seen a bear yet but are still about anxious to run into one. There are only around 100 black and browns bears in Banff national park atm
Have been enjoying gluten free pale ale ice cold ❤️

In the 3 month without snow, wildflowers go crazy here
And then I was in for a treat: I discovered these reflections
