After two weeks in British Columbia and Alberta, two of 13 provinces of Canada, visiting 5 National Parks (Yoho NP, Glacier NP, Banff NP, Kooteney NP, Jasper NP and countless Provincial Parks) it is time to make our way back to Illahee, our base and reunite with Brett, Jim, Kay, Zach, Megan and the rest of the Aho-crew. So the next two days are mostly spent on the road.
Here is how Germany compares to these two provinces in size btw:

For the route back, we chose a different, less highway-heavy route:
After a last longing look back at the Canadian Rockies, we left this magical place to make our way back towards RevelstokeNot before eating a fabulous burger in Golden at Bear & Bone thoughWe camped here for the night We headed out to have breakfast by Columbia river …… and Calvin even cut fresh apples for us!Plus some fresh coffee And this view!We had to take a picture of us sitting hereAfter breakfast, we headed down BC Highway 23 towards Shelter Bay where the road suddenly ended …… to get on a ferry!Bilbo on a ferry! We took a lunch break in the cute little sleepy village of Nakusp, which had all these wonderful flowers ……… and went to have breakfast burger and burrito: Hoss & Jill’s Bistro – the food was amazing! We drove on beautiful small roads most of the dayWe stayed in Kelowna – in an airbnb – for the first time in two weeks – cheating on Bilbo Nice to have a table and proper bed for a change And this great view! kelowna is also called the California of Canada due to the many vineyards. The next morning, I got up at 6am to enjoy the sunset, do some Pilates and meditation on this lovely deck. We then did some wine tasting, picked up a couple of bottles and headed to Illahee!
Back in Illahee, we were greeted by the gang and had a lovely dinner and talk with the Aho’s.
